Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide remote services to K-12 students. In this remote role, you'll support K–12 students by providing specialized services tailored to their unique educational needs, helping them thrive both academically and personally. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each student’s individual goals are met with care and consistency. To be successful in this role, you should be available at least 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 4 PM. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate functional and developmental disorders. - Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and establish achievable goals for students. - Provide direct therapy services in individual settings to meet caseload minutes as per IEP requirements. - Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to discuss student progress and adjust intervention strategies. - Write detailed reports and maintain records of students' progress and therapy sessions. - Advise and train educational staff on how to observe, monitor, and facilitate students' motor and functional skills. - Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with new therapies and technologies pertinent to occupational therapy. Qualifications: - Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field. - Valid Florida state license in Occupational Therapy - Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred. - Strong understanding of the principles and practices of occupational therapy applicable to a K-12 educational setting. Skills: - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school staff. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team to foster an engaging and supportive educational environment. - Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. - Comfort with technology and proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for remote education and communication.
