Immigration Paralegal or Attorney Needed – Asylum Case Analysis, Motion & Brief Drafting - Contract to Hire

We are seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal or attorney with strong asylum case experience to assist with a complex immigration matter. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience preparing asylum-related filings, conducting legal and factual research, organizing evidence, and drafting supporting documents under attorney supervision. Scope of Work The selected professional will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing the complete case file and existing evidence
  • Conducting a detailed case review and analysis
  • Identifying strengths, weaknesses, and potential issues in the case
  • Preparing a list of additional evidence needed to strengthen the claim
  • Drafting country conditions research and supporting documentation
  • Drafting support letters, declarations, affidavits, and related documents
  • Assisting with preparation of a motion
  • Assisting with preparation of a legal brief
  • Providing strategic recommendations to strengthen the asylum case and supporting evidence package
  • Contacting the court, agency, or clients as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of immigration law experience preferred
  • Significant experience with asylum cases (affirmative and/or defensive)
  • Strong legal writing and research skills
  • Familiarity with EOIR and USCIS asylum procedures
  • Ability to organize complex factual records and identify evidentiary gaps
  • Experience drafting declarations, affidavits, motions, and legal briefs
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Fast response and turnaround (within a calendar day)
